T. Elmer Cox

T. Elmer Cox was a noted historian and businessman in Greeneville. His generous bequests made our library possible. Through his gifts, the Greeneville/Greene County Public Library was able to purchase and renovate the historic building that houses his collection.

An architect by profession, Cox's interests included historical buildings as well as the daily lives of early pioneers of Greeneville and Greene County.
