Researching cemeteries can be extremely extensive. Tombstones themselves are monuments to our ancestors and could have key genealogical clues engraved in the stone. For several years now, T. Elmer Cox Library staff, Greene County Genealogical Society members and other interested persons have visited numerous Greene County cemeteries to research and document our local cemeteries and graveyards.

 

Combining technology with history can make your research much easier. We have provided QR (Quick Response) codes for each individual cemetery booklet. Scanning this code with a phone or tablet allows you to see the exact location of the cemetery as well as the easiest route to it.
